Was going to say this -- my guy friends viewed me like a sister or cousin they could be real in front of. But they never hit on me, not once. I actually went through a period of time when I was struggling with dating where I was offended by it, like "hey, how come these guys I spend every weekend with don't even have the smallest crush on me?" Nevermind that I didn't have a crush on any of them either. But the truth was that we met and became friends at a time and in a way where there just wasn't that kind of attraction. One was a roommate and we just successfully killed off even the idea that we'd ever be into each other. Another was a close friend of my brother so a brother by transference. And the third was a coworker who became my work husband, and 6 months into being friends we revealed to each other that we both thought the other one was gay (we're both straight). So zero chemistry. They all became friends with each other through me, and I was always just part of the deal. It would have been as weird for one of them to date me as for them to date one another. It just wasn't like that.[/quote]
