I was this woman for years and I think a lot of my male friends' GFs thought I was playing some long con. In reality they were like brothers to me and I was the one giving them advice on how to impress those women, I was the one reminding them to be kind and respectful and giving them a hard time when they were jerks. Those guys are still like brothers to me, btw. I'm married, but to someone who never saw me as "one of the guys." And he's friends with those guys too now.
