You might see a homeless person or two, but that's about it. Lots of other people out and about during the day and fairly well trafficked at night too. I am a petite woman and walk around there all the time with my dog pretty late at night, never had an issue. I think you should be able to get a cab on M street fairly easily, it's kind of a main drag. If the weather is good, you'd also probably have some luck on K St. by the Waterfront. [/quote]
