I’m not an Aquasana rep. I knew i was concerned about PFAS/PFOAS (watch dark waters w mark ruffalo). I googled and looked for a scientific study that tested the systems. Found the Duke one listed upthread. So I in fact DID NOT take a manufacturer’s word for it. Once I took out all the reverse osmosis systems, I was left with I think a couple of choices.

We bought the system directly from the manufacturer during one of their sales. For installer, I recommend using a licensed one from the manufacturer website otherwise it’s touch and go.

Before we did this, we used Zero water pitcher including to cook.

Subsequently I tested the filtered and non filtered water and there is a significant difference. I used the water testing direct to consumer recommended by the NYT.
