Came home to find dog shit on my front yard. I'm so tired of dog owners who don't pick up after their dog, leave bags on the side of paths, let their dog run off leash in public parks, use retractable leashes, let their dogs bark and bark, and aren't considerate in pulling their dog to the side when approaching others. I don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate. Why are so many dog owners so awful?!
This is actually not a bad troll post overall - you hit multiple trigger points and do it concisely. This thread will probably get some traction and you'll be able to give it more life if you come back with more feeding occasionally. But, lets see how it all unfolds and how many decided to take the bait! Should be fun, Good work!
It could be a troll because people do indeed love to complain about this stuff. But sadly I've encountered these behaviors regularly enough that I tend thing that it's more likely that OP did in fact come home to a pile of dog $hit in their yard and felt the need to rant about inconsiderate dog owners, because that sort of thing does in fact happen with enough frequency to make it very plausible it happened to OP. I think it's really only about 30-40% of dog owners who are like this, though I also think that number is rising because so many people adopted dogs for the first time during the pandemic and IME the newer dog owners are much more likely to be really rude and inconsiderate. Maybe just everyone is ruder than they used to be, or maybe people who previously wouldn't have been able to get a dog due to work were able to do so during WFH, and inevitably a higher percentage of that group are crap dog owners. Hard to say, but I'm not the only one who has noticed this.
This is a really exceptional "fine touch" you've played here -- it makes you seem reasonable yet really you are still going "all in" on the "broad brush" painting of dog owners. You then offer some additional details and supporting information along with it - well played. Take note Trolls! This is a good example of some well thought out followup care and feeding of a troll thread! Let us continue to watch how this plays out and who is triggered enough to get caught and respond.
