Actually, he’s already come a long way. And at only 19, he has years to refine his artistry and raise his component scores. In the meantime, he certainly skated with total conviction and captivated the audience in both his short and the free. Jason Brown was also absolutely brilliant. Overall, it was a great season for Team USA.[/quote]

I agree that he has years to refine his artistry.  Hopefully, he can follow in the footsteps of Brian Boitano, who clumped around the ring until Sandra Bezic got him. But Malinin was definitely overmarked in artistry in THIS world championships. Acknowledging that doesn’t take away from his historic technical achievements.[/quote]
