Please please please take her to an adult gyn - one that specializes in pelvic pain and/or endometriosis if you can find one near you (Cherie Marfori at INOVA is the best). I was exactly like your daughter as a teen and everyone blew it off (my mom, my doctor). But this is not normal. When I went on bcp in college I finally found relief, but by then the damage was done. When I started TTC in my 30s, we discovered so much endometriosis scar tissue that I required multiple surgeries and RA to get pregnant. This all could have been avoided if my mom had truly listened to me and not been so scared of hormones. I’m now in my 50s and still have issues with my endo. It’s not fun.
Pretty similar story for me too right down to surgery in my 30s and a lot of help needed to conceive. It is not normal to be in so much pain. I used to miss school and lay on the bathroom floor.
