Had a harder time in MS. When they finally bloomed in HS, it was much better. I'm a PP and a former JWMS parent. It's probably true that most MS aren't that great. I've heard it said that the teachers/admins in MS try to focus more on social/emotional well being than academics. The problem with this approach is that when they hit HS and start taking AP classes, they won't have had the foundation of a rigorous course from their MS. Having stated that, JWMS is a huge MS, so again, that may be a concern for OP.[/quote]
