[/quote] The taxes here are comparable to every other jurisdiction in this area, and are far less than similarly situated jurisdictions in other states. People like the extra amenities we have here, but smooth roads, subsidized fitness classes, art centers, fully stocked libraries, and wraparound social services cost money. For a long time, our commercial tax base was paying most of the bill. Thanks to WFH and a bureaucratic permitting office, that is no longer the case. Hard times ahead but we’re all using these services we’ve collectively decided we want and we all need to be paying for them. [/quote]
