Waldorf Astoria is nice
Wrong city. Clearly you are making up answers.
I’m not the PP, and I won’t go downtown since I might be carjacked, but even I know that the old Trump Hotel is now the Waldorf Astoria.
The lobby and common areas are pretty. Jose Andres has a restaurant there now. The rooms still have some gold tackiness to them, but a lot of DC hotels are stuffy like that.
Stuffy and tacky usually don’t belong in the same sentence.
There are a lot of DC hotels that are both. Stuffy and tacky with heavy curtains with tie backs, ruffled bed skirts, good fixtures that are elaborate. It is hard to find a modern hotel in DC. Many miss the mark. WA is as nice as the others and has a great lobby, bar, and restaurants. Jose Andres knows what he is doing and came after Trump was out.
