MCEA absolutely doesn't care about the victims. The didn't want to fire McKnight over the Beidleman scandal-- they're still mad at McKnight for reopening schools.
Time to take off the tinfoil. Yikes. Got any facts to back up all that?
MCEA has been out to get McKnight since reopening. That's what the initial vote of no confidence was about. But reopening was too popular, so they needed to wait to pin a scandal on her to get their revenge. And NAACP saw right through it.
Really? I’m a teacher and don’t agree with any of that. Most of my colleagues felt she was up to the job. Please don’t speak for all of us.
You don't remember MCEA's vote of no confidence in January 2022?
Hmmm. But it wasn’t about reopening. Clearly, they were right and tired of being abused and not being heard. You do remember the Washington Post article in Fall of 2023, right?
The January 2022 resolution was all about Covid, not anything related to Beidleman.
Critical thinking isn’t your strong suit is it. Abuse was ongoing for years and was being ignored under her. It was the first time teachers seemed to have a way to speak out collectively. The principal union also said no to her. I saw someone call teachers dumb in another post. No. It’s definitely not the teachers in that category. This area seems to be filled with a lot of highly entitled people with who think they have either money or influence that allows them to throw out their wildly inappropriate opinions as “facts”
So when the 2022 resolution wrote "covid," you're saying that was code for something else? Weird
I think there are two different things being talked about. Her becoming the official super vs the Covid response. I think I remember mcps was really awful about reopening and was very unprepared as far as ventilation and supplies. Ordered things late - didn’t have items. Def not the fault of the teachers.
