Ask your kid what they think teachers wear. Often it is polos, khakis and lanyards. But your kid will be able to tell you about the teachers at their school
I'm a teacher who dresses nothing like what many parents consider "teacher wear." From Monday through Thursday, I wear designer dresses, skirts, or pants, as well as very nice, almost exclusively high-heeled, shoes. On Fridays, almost everyone wears school spirit wear with jeans, so I do that as well. I don't need to get on the floor with students, supervise recess, or do anything messy in my job, so I have the opportunity to wear very nice clothing. No polos, khakis, tees, or other such clothing.
