I see six math courses from Math 1 to 6. If doing algebra 1 in 8th, with what Math do they start at TJ?
TJ math courses are semesters. They will start in Math 1, and also need to take research statistics at the same time. https://tjhsst.fcps.edu/node/3332
Thanks for the chart. Referring to the elective page, when you hear few students complete Advanced Math Techniques/ Differential Equations in 12th, that would imply enrollment of multi variable/linear in 11th, and Calc AB or BC in 10th? how is this possible to go have completed upto Math 6 in just freshman year? I assume they enter TJ having completed a higher level math from middle school or skipped certain math levels?
There are kids who enter TJ having completed Algebra 2. I think the vast majority of kids enter having completed Geometry and would be starting at Algebra 2/Trig.
Either of these kids, what TJ courses do they take in Freshman to start Calc BC in sophomore?
Algebra 1 in 6th Geometry in 7th Algebra 2 in 8th It's a track that parents or teachers have to push for with some extraordinary proof, not a normal advertised thing.
I mean, what courses among TJ math 1 to 6 series do they complete in freshman, in order to take Calc BC in sophomore?
Math 4/5 are precalculus classes, so if those were taken freshman year they'd be set to do calculus as a sophomore and have access to elective/higher level math junior/senior year.
