NL is fine for the younger years but if your daughter wants to play competitive lacrosse she should go to BLC. Also, I would avoid clubs that have both boys and girls programs as the boys tend to draw more resources than the girls.
BLC is a boys and girls lax club. Did you know this when you posted your comment?
To be perfectly honest, I forgot. Just know from my experience at NL that the girls never got the same amount if attention and funds thrown their way as the boys. The director had no clue about any of the girls teams. That was my only point.
NL is not a girls club. Not even sure why they try. BLC boys get a lot more attention that the girls. DC area clubs don’t support the girls at the same level as Baltimore. It’s maddening.
To be fair I don’t think the DC area has the same level of girls coaches at scale. You’re not going to show up at BLC practice and the former coach of Loyola is coaching for the day. Or a USWNT player is coaching offensive drills. Happens regularly in Baltimore but not DC area.
They also give unicorns away in Baltimore at every practice - I was often shocked to find out the pedigree of who was coaching my child here in the DMV. Hall of Famers, US National team members and absolute legends of the game. Baltimore or Long Island is the Mecca of Girls Lax, but DMV has its own class and pedigree to be proud of. If you are looking to make the commute to Baltimore its much easier in High School, Middle School years in DMV at least are super intense. To be fair though if your kid is that kid they will succeed no matter the club, its up to you to make the investment outside of what the club is doing in the DMV or Baltimore.
Cool story bro. Best clubs are still in Baltimore area.
Alright then why ain’t you on Baltimore Urban Moms Lacrosse forum then a-hole? U B-more cuckhold M-fers are insufferable.
You know what’s insufferable? Watching DC area third tier teams lose
