The rezoning of Courthouse and Rosslyn to Yorktown, and Columbia Heights/Barcroft to W-L during the last boundary changes was for socio-economic reasons, and to relieve overcrowding at Wakefield. School Boards do not redistrict to protect or boost property values.

In North Arlington,[b] property value differences between Yorktown and W-L neighborhoods are negligible, and the real estate ads promote each school district about equally. [/b]Families are attached to their neighborhoods schools however, and any changes among the three high schools will cause some controversy. Especially if the pricey neighborhoods north of 50 become redistricted to Wakefield from W-L. South of route 50, similar houses go for less, in part because of the schools they are zoned to.

Ok... So do a Redfin search. North Arlington is universally expensive. Some neighborhoods like Lyon Village and Country Club Hills form the upper end of the market.
