 Op here. This report confirms that  I am right ( See page 10). Pay gap  diminishes ( only 5 percent ) when you control women's choices. AAUV seems like one of the few truthful female advocacy group. Thanks for your link and confirming my suspicion.[/quote]

You don't think a 5% pay gap for doing the same work under the same conditions is significant?  I think most people would disagree.  If you found out your workplace was routinely handing out a 5% raise to only one part of a group of similarly-situated workers based on some arbitrary distinction (pick, say, hair color), that those who are not getting the extra 5% would think it's insignificant or not unfair?[/quote]
