One can credibly theorize it's due to the rapidly elevated standard of living in China, India, and Brazil - very populous countries with huge energy needs. Are you really so narrowly focused that you cannot see this?[/quote] The cumulative emissions of those countries pale in comparison to those of the US. Their rapid growth in the last few years means they are now an ongoing part of the problem, but our current situation is because of years and years of past emissions that were dominated by the US.
