If you’re still in an immediate crisis, do a liquid glycerin suppository.
This. My then 3 year and didnt poop for a week+ (we had a newborn too) and we ended up in crisis. It was hard, painful wouldn't come out. Clean out first and then a miralax regimen for 6 months and her colon was distended and didnt work properly if the poop was at all hard and she wqs so so scared for a while. We also pretty much stopped eating bread or rice for months for the same reason. At 4 days, pear juice is not going to work. I had to get my kid to agree to a suppository and it took an hour to get her to be ok with the idea.
This. We did everything. Sadly, we got the then-aspergers (ASD) diagnosis at 16. The peditrician never caught the SN issues nor the link of severe gastro problems with Aspergers/ASD. Only when we took DS to a pediatric gastro who knew of autism-related issues, did we get the diagnosis. He said by then (too late) SN had developed megacolon and had fecalomas. Look it up to see if it fits your situation.
