I always get a two large pizzas deal for $25 (including delivery). I make a salad. This is dinner for three people, and TWO lunches for the same three people. So, one dinner and two lunches for about $32? Yes, I consider that inexpensive.
You can make an entire tray of baked ziti for under $10 and would easily serve 3 dinners and 2 lunches. Pizza is not cheap, just cheap compared to going out to eat elsewhere.
Exactly. When we dine out, it is not to simply fill our bellies with some greasy food. So compared to where we normally eat Papa John's and China King is cheap. However compared to what I normally make at home that includes fresh vegetables and often organic meat-carry out food is very expensive. I make my own pizza and often top it with fresh herbs, goat cheese, and procuitto and even then it's still cheaper than Pizza Delivery.
