Wooster gets my vote! I know a few people with kids currently there or recently graduated, and all speak so highly about the school. Definitely a diverse student body at Wooster and probably a better environment for artistic or quirky kids (it just seems like a place where the idea of belonging and self-discovery are really valued). Gettysburg much more homogenous and preppy/Greek.
Did OP say their kid was artistic or quirky? Is there some DCUM guide that elevates the quirky over the well-rounded or social?
It feels like it. Every other post is someone trying to find a school with little to know Greek life or bashing a school for being "too fratty." They can suit themselves, but at a typical state school where 20% of the males are in frats, those 20% get 80% or more of the fine girlz. They also make lucrative connections, have higher GPAs than the campus average, and graduate at higher rates. But all you hear about on this forum is "toxic masculinity" and "bro culture." Yawn.
