TUMI is not known for comfortable backpacks. Their backpacks tend to be well made of premium materials, but also quite bulky and stiff. I don’t think I would want to be lugging one around for the hot summer.
I agree. TUMI laptop bags and backpacks target the professional set (consultants and such that need to look polished at a client meeting and want a backpack that doesn't clash with a suit), not the set that is trekking in the jungle.
I'm not trekking the jungle :) I'm just going to be on a whirlwind tour in Asia but I did want something functional. I don't need rugged Ospry that looks like I'm camping. I'm going to big cities and some smaller towns and will be out and on trains, plains and automobiles. I am riding cable cars up a mountain but not climbing up the mountain :) I usually carry Skip Hop Forma Diaper Bag but would love to explore a bigger version or something along those lines. Maybe I use a small one up the mountain but a larger one for duration of my trip. I'm still figuring it out. But need something flex, wide but not long, because I'm short. Top opening with pockets galore. I don't need fancy but I like progressive ie pockets and interesting/creative design. I like Caraa but none of their stuff is going to be big enough for me on this trip. I like MZ Wallace but they don't have any packs that I think work on this trip. I like Dagne Dover but ditto. I would like 30L+ I don't want just a standard pack but I don't need Peak. I like Eddie Bauer 32L diaper bag. Maybe Cotopaxi. PP - Yeah - Briggs is one of the best things I've ever brought :)
