Your comment seems to rely on a subjective interpretation. Yes, they are all basically democrats now. But it was started by prominent republican consultants who defected. It wasn't stated by people with a background in democratic politics. They all worked at high levels of campaigns, many of them in Bush campaigns and/or the McCain campaign.

This isn't a defense of them. I don't like the Lincoln Project.  Steve Schmidt, in particular, did a lot to radicalized the GOP and then he left because it was radical. That's fine, he's welcome to do that, but he was involved in a lot of the things (eg, introducing Sarah Palin into the conservative psyche) that set us on the path we are now on.  I'm of the "you break if, you buy it" philosophy and think he should have stayed and then steered towards better choices vs sitting smugly on the sidelines, judging the circus he hired. [/quote]
