There are specialist tour agencies for the Cotswolds that support day hiking with village stays each evening. They transfer your luggage while you ramble. Salisbury and Stonehenge and Bath are in the general region and are all worth it. We connected everywhere by train with the exception of one expensive paid car transfer from Oxford into the region because of well-announced ahead of time train strikes.[/quote]
