No one is forcing people to consume sugar.
No, but you have to be awfully vigilant to avoid it.
NP. You really don't have to be vigilant at all, unless you're eating a lot of processed foods or eating out regularly. Make your own meals, eats lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes, and eat out max 1x a week... you will consume next to zero added sugar. If you're buying a lot of prepared foods... well yeah, but also stop buying so much prepared food.
This is the correct answer. It is not that difficult for me.
While you are technically correct, and probably think that's the best kind of correct, making all your own meals, and your kids' meals, and possibly a spouse's meals, and working, and keeping your house managed, and keeping yourself managed can be a lot. And if you manage it all well under ordinary circumstances, there are no guarantees you'll always have ordinary circumstances. So maybe you make your ketchup from scratch every time, pp, but some people just don't always have those resources. Not to mention the expense of purchasing all whole/raw ingredients in a country that subsidizes processed foods. What would make convenience foods less of a sugar liability is clear labeling and fewer buzzwords.
