They are resigning because parents have become insane and out of control (although that probably contributes to micromanagement and dumbing down of schools). This is part of the stealth, right-wing attack on public schools. It’s been under way for 40-some years but has become increasingly worse. Especially during and after Covid when parents behaved incredibly nasty and got to the point where they thought they could micromanage what happens in individual classrooms.
