The 2 times I went through it - the shock and feeling like a loser took time to shake off. I don't think I would have been good interview material during that time. After getting through that stage I evaluated what I wanted to do, and what my skill sets were and worked that angle. There were a few opportunities that were significantly lower salary offers and I had to decide do I take them to stay afloat. Or continue to treat finding a new job as a full-time job. I think it also depends on the industry he's in on how hard it will be to land somewhere else. [/quote]
