I wouldn’t want to hassle with returning them. As someone said, this is a risk with produce. Sometimes I buy a bag of clementines and they are terrible, sometimes they are amazing.
+1 Yasssss sometimes they are mushy or have seeds. It's always a risk with clementines. But I don't return them. Come on. .
The reason groceries have a freshness and satisfaction guarantee is because they want you to come back and buy more next time. If you get crappy grapes, you are not likely to buy them again. But if you get a refund, you feel warm and fuzzy, and are more likely to give them a shot next time. It might even strengthen your loyalty to the store. The grocery also gets the feedback that the grapes are bad. So the grocery gets more money from you in the future, possibly strengthens brand loyalty, and also can perform quality control so that other customers don’t get the bad produce.
