I had au pairs from 2005 - 2016 and worked for an au pair company. Your claim is hogwash. Congress has been wanting to do away w/ au pair for years by raising pay for au pairs. It had something to do with a GOP ask in the Farm Bill. There was a big To Do around in 2017 asking families to write to Congress. Also, the State Dept has been looking at the program and how host families abuse the au pairs. Over work then threaten deporting/kicking them out of program if they tell.

Yes, the program is great if you have the extra room to host someone. Sucks if it were to end but don’t blame Biden.[/quote]
