He didn’t abandon anyone. He got someone pregnant. It wasn’t a serious relationship. If he’d had a choice, he would have had an abortion. The mom didn’t want one and decided to go and have the baby anyway. He provides her with financial support.

It takes two to make a baby. If you see you’re with a guy who isn’t serious about you, why do you think he’ll suddenly be a great husband and father if you get pregnant?

A great way for women to avoid that problem is to wait until they are married to make kids. If you don’t want to, then accept the consequences that he might not take part in the child rearing. I can’t believe common sense is so uncommon these days.[/quote]
