I was assaulted by an outside contractor.  I reported it to my boss and he did nothing for three weeks.  He told me to handle it.  I got fed up and went to HR myself.  They said they'd get back to me a week later and never did.

I was sexually abused as a 10 yr old and reported it, but people did nothing and the abuse continued.  The response to the assault was more upsetting than the assault because it reminded me of being 10 again.

They might be concerned about liability for the assault. They probably want to be able to say that any problems you suffer as a result of it, are not as a result of it.

What exactly did they say to you about why they were doing this "evaluation"? I'm starting to agree with PPs that you should talk to a lawyer before you do it. [/quote]

They were very clear that I'm not being fired, even if I fail the exam and am found unfit to do my job.  If found unfit for my job, I'll be required to go to a treatment program (I'm already signed up for a trauma IOP anyway).

Still, I just want to go back to work.  Actually, I'd really like to work part time and do the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for trauma part time.  That would be ideal.
