Is this a real question? Is this not something most adults have to plan for at least once a year, if not more often?  Dealerships have whole waiting rooms outfitted with beverages and snacks entirely for this purpose.  Sometimes they have employees who can give you a lift within X miles. Sometimes a loaner car. Me, I trade favors with neighbors and we give each other rides to/from the service place.  When I've taken a car in when I was working in an office, a co-worker was the ride giver.

This must be an adult who never had a car before. Or their parent/spouse/partner always took care of every oil change, tire change, and maintenance. L[/quote]
