I’m a Korean American who grew up between two countries. It’s hard but it was considered normal when I was a kid. How old are your children? The book Almost American Girl by Robyn Ha details the experience pretty accurately for an older child
+1 my siblings were 9 and 7 when we immigrated here from Korea. They coped. And ESOL services now a days is much better than 50 years ago when we came here. We had a neighbor who moved from Japan. They had some ES/MS aged kids, and they figured it out. The ES aged kid especially picked up English rather quickly.
