But why would you do that?!! You end up taking alg2/trig as an eighth grader, precalc as a freshman, calc ab as a sophomore, calc bc as a junior and then what?  If you are a science or engineering major there is a good chance you’ll have to repeat a large chunk of that in college. [/quote]

I too agree.  I don't quite understand the push for kids to be taking advanced math so early.  Best case, you skip over 2 semesters of calculus in college.  You will still have to take multivariable calculus and differential equations at minimum as an engineering student.  You can do all of that even if you take Calculus as a senior in high school and get a 4/5 on the Calc BC exam.[/quote]
