It is. 45 wasted minutes. After school activities could be done during “home room”. Instead, kids just sit and stare. It could absolutely be repurposed but that would require admin to be innovative. Let’s be real, we’re not dealing w the best or brightest in MCPS.[/quote]

Advisory is not 45 minutes.  Perhaps it is wasted time for your perfect genius, but for many kids, it's an opportunity to review something they don't understand, or to retake a quiz they missed while throwing up with a stomach flu.  Your kid can read a book or hang out with friends for a little bit - it won't kill them. [/quote]

Lmao. DP…. If you can manage to read…. Advisory is different at every school. Try and keep up… so yes, at schools where your kid doesn’t go (imagine a world that doesn’t revolve around you, I know it’s difficult but try…) it’s 45 minutes of wasted time bc no one gets to retake a quiz or learn something they missed. The entire point of this post was about how advisory is a missed opportunity for things like this. [/quote]
