Seeing what my kids have gone through when they fail despite their best efforts, I have such sorrow for my brothers.  I can't help but wonder if their lives wouldn't have turned out so tragically if my parents hadn't blamed them for their poor grades and, instead, tried to understand why the education system was failing them.
