Could you take AP Chemistry or AP Physics? I mean sure the magnet Physics and Chem cover some of that but don't prepare students for the AP, which is helpful for those magnet kids who plan to go to college.
If you look at the placement rates from Blair, it's pretty clear that they know what's helpful for kids who plan to go to college. My kid who is hoping for a magnet, loves STEM and foreign language. I can see him choosing to take two languages and less STEM, that's a choice that makes sense for me, or another kid taking more music electives or discovering a love for history and taking extra courses there, all of which would mean less STEM. But I can't see how subbing AP physics or chem for the magnet physics and chem.
No AP Physics or AP Chem would be in addition to magnet physics and magnet chem which are advanced classes but only 1 semester long so don't cover the same material.
