I would start with over the counter stuff and if that doesn't work see a dermatologist. My daughter started with a few pimples and then kind of got worse. She just completed Accutane and her skin looks fantastic. I liked that the dermatologist took her skin issues very seriously. I did not have great skin as a teen and no one helped me.
Good to know. How long does he need to stay on it? Mine did too. But doesn’t accutane only work with cystic acne? I would watch for any hard bumps under the skin and go to the dermatologist if that happens.
Mine takes it and has regular acne. Mostly a lot of red pimples and a few that get bigger than others and become whiteheads, has no issues with blackheads at all. He's not feeling self-conscience now, and not a picker, but he did admit he didn't want to wait it out and get scars. We are on our third box and so far the only side effect is crazy chapped lips.
