This. Normal Palestinians and normal Israelis want a peaceful two-state solution. Hamas and the right-wing Israeli government have been doing the opposite for years. But whenever the Israelis elect a more moderate government, another intifada comes along and the right wing gets voted back in because Israelis prefer to not be slaughtered more than what seems like unattainable peace. The average Israeli has been stewing in extreme right wing propaganda for several decades and is more brainwashed and militant than MAGA.

Hamas was nurtured, collaborated with and legitimized by Israeli right wing governments. Hamas is the Palestinian extreme right wing, put in charge of keeping order in the Gaza ghetto.

The intifadas are ghetto revolts usually preceded by ramp up of settlements and violence against the prisoners. The latest prison revolt is driven not only by months of violence against Palestinians, but also an ethnic cleansing plan negotiated between Israel, USA and Saudi Arabia in which Palestinians would be shipped off to Egypt or other neighboring Arab countries.
