I'm happy with a college having a rule that makes it less likely that your kid will infect my kid.

And for these colleges,  they're doing their best to keep their faculty and staff teaching and working in person.   With many of them older,  maybe your kid can stop being a selfish jackass and help protect the profs and the ability to have in person classes.
