Find a family daycare with a preschool program. Most providers are teachers with CDA for infants, toddlers and Preschool and takes early child development classes every year. If you want a bigger school, go to a center but kids don't get a lot of attention. But it's your choice. Trust your gut. Good luck! Preschool is not a requirement for kindergarten.
This is completely untrue. Actually, center based care is usually forced to ensure highly accredited teachers and has more resources to ensure children do better in Kindergarten. Furthermore, having very small classes before kindergarten is actually harmful to a child as they go into public school where the student to teacher ratio is 1:27. How are they expected to vie for the attention of one teacher against 26 when they have been vying for the attention of one teacher against no more than 6 kids for several years? This is without considering all of the children with undiagnosed and diagnosed behavioral issues in Kindergarten. Wake up!
