And to the poster who said either headphones or no iPad, that would be fine, but there is no way I will be able to keep her entertained and quiet the entire 6 hour flight that way.  It seems from most posters that a small amount of iPad noise (of course I'm not talking about blasting the thing at full volume) is preferable to a fussy kid.
