They wouldn’t need to “offer the opportunity to book at the summer rate” they should have plenty of takers if they relist. [/quote] The host will cancel if this person doesn’t accept the new rate. There is plenty of time for them to get a booking at the correct rate before July. There is a slight ding to your rating for canceling, so the host is probably hoping to avoid that, but it’s not so big that the host will let an accidental booking for a prime week in the summer go.
