You will find horses, chicken roaming, no toilets, shade etc. But very natural beauty. We visited Playa negro ( unique experience with real black sand, but you would not swim there), playa Caracas (best island beach in our opinion), and a few other smaller ones. As far as island itself, there is a tourist area in South, Esperanza, but we stayed not far from the pier in Airbnb. Houses generally are older, you will see rust in and out due to their humidity. Again, we very much enjoyed the vacation ( did 4 days in Old San Juan and 4datsin Vieques), but I doubt we will go back soon or I would consider spending more than 4-5 days in Vieques.[/quote]
