I feel like it's the privilege of those who have never had anything really terrible happen to them that they get to say 'I am not ok' during a news event that actually does not really impact them personally at ALL. [/quote]

The people who are directly impacted by the event deserve the most support and empathy sure, but those who feel connected to it don't deserve any empathy at all? Also, why does this bother you so much? [/quote]
