What are examples of “local pride” tattoos that people commonly get in other cities/states? The only other place in the country where I would even expect people to get tattoos of the state flag is Texas. I’m not sure that should be the model. [/quote]

I recently moved to teh midwest and have been shocked at the number of people who have moved here from MD (ugh I did it b/c I didnt want to get divorced and spouse was relocating- shoulda just separated  :P ) and have MD state flag tattoos even though it is obviously the best state flag so I guess ppl do?[/quote]

Marylanders have a thing about the Maryland flag being the best state flag, but when DC becomes a state, the DC flag will be the second-best state flag. It's a good flag.[/quote]
