Not at “good” UMC schools.  I graduated in early 2000s and can’t recall a single fight in the hallway, anyone swearing at the teacher, or the other terrible behavior that happens frequently now.

My kids went to private until middle school, then moved to public- and not a wealthy UMC one.  There are tons of behavioral issues.  But honestly it doesn’t really affect my kids.  They are taking advantage of all sorts of amazing academic opportunities at school that there is little competition for.  It’s actually great.  The teachers have been gems for far.  But I don’t expect the teachers to work miracles- we heavily supplement material at home [/quote]
