A women here. I recently had the weirdest dating experience in my life. A guy was pressuring me for sex very early on. Invited me to change in his house after tennis, was very aroused as we kissed, and we kissed a lot, rented a hotel room where we had a make out session but it didn’t end in sex as I wasn’t ready on a fourth date as it was couple weeks of meeting him. He was at my house - again, kissed, and partially undressed me, but he never took his pants down as he saw I was really shy. I told him I liked him and wanted to take things slower to get to know him. So he continues pursuing me for 2 months: daily talks, messages morning and evening, sharing music videos, took me to expensive places and shows in DC, and so on. So finally I tell him it’s time to invite me for a dinner at his place. And he …. disappears for a few days. Then he sends me a text message : “I really like you - you are very attractive, smart, kind, thoughtful woman. But I must be honest with you and myself that my feelings are not where they should be at this point for a relationship to grow in a healthy way. Let me know if you would like to take about it”. I texted him back thanking for his integrity, and suggested to stay friends. WTF? I didn’t ask him for feelings, I was just trying to establish a connection to have sex. And it did feel like we established that. I quickly moved on, met someone in a few months. I wasn’t upset or anything but I still wonder if he had perforce issues, or an ex GF came back, or was he married, or he met someone who slept with him as he was taking me out. Just hard to imagine a man investing so much time and money to…. bail out in the end. He’s still on OLD with updated pictures.
Perhaps married or tired of trying. Why did you rent a hotel room? Sounds like a waste of time
He rented a room, not me (it was the first couple weeks in, and I wasn't prepared to have sex yet)
