Go somewhere like PJs/Rockville soccer or a dicks that has a lot of inventory. The fit and sizing is going vary widely between brands and each brand will have a speed boot (mercurial, crazy fast, ultra), control boot (phantom, predator, future) and a comfort boot (tiempo, copa, king). Some will have specific AG soleplayes if footpain from playing on turf is an issue (more studs, conical instead of angular). Try everything on. Once you find a brand/style that fits her feet then you can look at soccer.com or dicks for sales. Dicks is great for sales online if you watch, as you can get top end stuff for less than 50% as their inventory gets low. As for the big 3 brands, this is the hierarchy in order: Adidas: plus(+), .1, .2, .3, .4 Nike: Elite, Pro, Academy, Club Puma: Ultra, Pro, Match, Play
The hierarchy is so useful, making browsing cleats much easier. thank you! Did see one pair labeled as "Puma Future Ultimate FG/AG Soccer Cleats", where does that land in terms of the hierarchy?
The future ultimates are puma’s top of the line (ultimate) control boot - similar to adidas predator, but lighter and thinner, without the gimmicky external rubber. It’s all knit, so it should fit the foot well. They call it FG/AG, but the studs are very long to be considered AG (artificial grass). I haven’t tried them on personally, but Neymar wears them, so they can’t be that bad. Puma has been putting out pretty good boots at lower prices compared to adidas/nike and they get reduced pretty low. I don’t know if they will have the same quality and last as long, but if they fit well I would give them a try.
Thanks for the detailed info! I know Neymar has been wearing Puma, but wasn't aware he's having this model lol I read some reviews on this specific model and almost everyone said it's super comfy, touch is great and stuff, but a big percentage of them also complained about how fast the sole coming apart from the fabric. usually after 3-4 games :|
