Hi, what’s the best program for a 4-5 year old boy in mclean? Additionally, which programs around mclean have the best/most competitive soccer? I grew up abroad where kids played soccer regularly, in a non-formal setting like street soccer / pick up soccer. I’m surprised at how soccer is so formal here and you must put kids in a group coaching program. Where do the kids get the best training around here (ball skills, drills, technique etc). Not just throw a bunch of kids into a scrimmage without actually having any ball skills. Please advise!
You should go with Alexandria or Arlington, if only to avoid the jerk parents for McLean that do nothing but yell at teenage officials and players from other teams during games.
Stop the BS. We've had multiple kids in MYS for years and never once seen this, especially for kids 4-5 years old which is what this thread is about. And even if it did, this wouldn't be something exclusive to McLean. Idiotic post.
LOL!!! Not BS at all. Original poster should go watch a McLean U12 game sometime this weekend and they can see for themselves.
This thread isn't about U12, nor is it about club level play (at 4-5 yrs old). Also crappy club level parents and behavior isn't something exclusive to McLean. It's an issue all over our country sadly.
No problem with McLean personally, but HA! "everyone else does it" is hardly a good response to the PP.
Agree that whatever’s closest is good for 4-5. That said, over the years, my kids have played against plenty of McLean teams without issue. But boy, did we have a terrible experience against a U11 team recently. Those parents are doing their poor kids a disservice.
