[/quote] When they were much younger, I was pretty clear about not using profane names to describe politicians/parties we oppose. That said, I'm fairly active in social justice issues, so my politics were quite discernible from an early age. When DS was younger, he occasionally pushed back on some stuff. I consistently said, "I vote my values. If X party starts to support them, then I will consider. For now, only Y party supports them." The kids and I are pretty much in one camp - they are now late teens/early 20s. DH is largely there, but not completely. [/quote]
